The second annual Ladies Charity Classic held at the Champion Lake Gun Club Saturday raised over $10,000 for the Houston Area Women’s Center, a shelter and counseling facility for abused women and children.

Each first-place winner was presented with a 20 gauge Browning Citori compliments of Browning Arms and a custom gun case compliments of Freer Gun Shop.

Major sponsors were Browning Arms, Olin/Winchester, White Flyer Targets, and Champion Lake Gun Club.

Other prizes were awarded for second through fifth place in each class.

There were 176 total shooters who ranged in age from 16 to 74 years old.

Other major contributors were Briley Manufacturing, Southwest Distributing, Tasco, Gil Ash Photography, Bob Allen Sportswear, The Forms Center, Barbour of England, Paragon Group, Night Train, Garvey Motors, John Hall Plastics, Herb Booth, Ed Scherer, Ahern Sales, and I.W. Marks Jewlers.
